Fred Press Mid Century Glassware

The History of Fred Press Mid Century Glassware:
Mid-Century designer Fred Press was known for creating unique and stunning cocktail glassware (sold at places like New York’s Fifth Avenue and other upscale Mid Century retailers). As with many Mid Century glassware makers, real 22k gold was used in the paint. Fred Press glassware typically bares the signature "Fred Press". Best known for their Gold Starburst series, their patterns are unmistakable and remain highly sought after among vintage glassware collectors.
Care Instructions For Mid Century Glassware:
During the MCM glassware era, it was recommended by all Mid Century glassware makers to hand-wash all glasses (when purchased, there was often a care-instructions pamphlet). We suggest a very mild soap (such as Palmolive), and a soft cloth (non-abrasive). When washing your glasses, do not press down too hard on the gold/pattern. After washing them, allow them to air-dry. Do not ever use a dish-washer on Mid Century glassware. It will harm the gold/pattern and also create "cloudy" glasses. Cheers!
