A magical 1939 "Wonder Bar" set, still in its original box. This spectacular cocktail pick set is made up of a wood bar with a chrome top and rail holding 6 picks (5 Bakelite bottles, and 1 metal cocktail shaker). This set also comes with a miniature "recipe" booklet and its original box. This set is nothing short of magical.

Hallmarks: "Patent No. 116459 Made In U.S.A. Negbaur N.Y." can be found on the back of the pick set
Condition: Very good condition (i appears to be NOS, new old stock) however, "age" occurs over time so there are age-related flaws we'd like to list (we like to be very thorough when it comes to our vintage items):
1) The box shows quite a bit of age and wear (purely from the course of time) inlcluding yellowing and wear on all the edges/corners
2) The left side of the wooden "bar" has a darker "speckled" look to it -- we suspect either from how this piece was stored, or it occurred during the original manufacturing (i.e. glue when putting the wood bar together) -- see photos #2 and #7
3) The "Wonder Bar" paper label on the front of the bar shows age and a small stain at the bottom -- see photos #2 and #7
4) All picks are in good shape overall and have their labels but do show typical age inline with picks that are 80+ years old
5) There are a few small "age spots" on the very bottom/underside of the wood bar
In short, this piece is in pretty good shape considering its age and we believe is NOS. It shows obvious signs of age (highlighted above) but is truly a spectactular and rare set. Cheers!
Measurements: Approx 5" wide and about 4 1/4" tall, including the bottles and shaker. Approx 1" wide.
