A 1946 first edition Trader Vic's Book of Food & Drink, with original dust cover. Trader Vic was a leader in the early tiki drink movement, which became popular when soldiers came home from the South Pacific after WWII. Cocktails herein, many of which are rum based, are given inspired names like Devil's Leap, La Florida daiquiri, Shingle Stain, Rum Julep, Haote Pikia, and dozens more.

Format: Hardcover with dust jacket, 272 pages.

Copyright: 1946, First Edition

Publisher: Doubleday

Author: Victor Bergeron

Condition: Good condition with signs of wear and age. The dust cover is in good condition overall but does show signs of age and wear (including yellowing that paper gets over the course of decades) and also wear along the edges. The book itself is in good vintage condition. The pages are clean and crisp. There's yellowing inside the very front and back covers (again, purely due to time/age) and there's also a "nameplate" sticker inside the front/first page (see photo #4 for reference) that has a blank spot for someone's name. The hardcover is in very good condition overall with mild signs of age/wear along some of the very edges. The binding is very secure/tight. In short, this book is in good vintage condition with mild signs of age/wear. Truly a magical guide.
