A 1946 first edition Trader Vic's Book of Food & Drink. Trader Vic was a leader in the early tiki drink movement, which became popular when soldiers came home from the South Pacific after WWII. Cocktails herein, many of which are rum based, are given inspired names like Devil's Leap, La Florida daiquiri, Shingle Stain, Rum Julep, Haote Pikia, and dozens more. This book also comes with a "Great Rum Drinks The Rums of Peurto Rico" booklet.

Format: Hardcover with dust jacket, 272 pages

Copyright: 1946, First Edition

Publisher: Doubleday

Author: Victor Bergeron

Condition: Good vintage condition overall but with signs of age. We like to be thorough so here's a full summary:

1) The dust jacket shows noticeable age and some tearing along the edges
2) The hardcover exterior shows a mild 'speckling" on the front right upper (not uncommon for vintage books, see photo #3)
3) The interior shows mild yellowing to the interior pages that paper gets purely from time, over the course of decades
4) The booklet is in very good shape
5) The interior book's pages are clean and crisp however one page has a dark stain (see photo #4)
6) The binding is tight/firm

Overall, this vintage book is in very good shape but does show age. Truly a magical mixology guide and bonus booklet.

Book measures a tad over 7 1/2 x 5 x 4 3/4 inches
