A 1947 first edition Bartender's Guide by Trader Vic with original dust cover. Truly a magnificent vintage mixology book that was made in several colors including a beige hard cover, a red hard cover, and this bold yellow hard cover. This vintage guide is filled with more than 1,500 cocktail recipes, illustrations, and how to choose the perfect glass for your handcrafted beverage.
Condition: Fair Condition. We're listing this book as "Fair" due to the very noticeable signs fo age. We like to be thorough, so here's a full summary:
1) The dust jacket shows major signs of wear
2)The binding of the book is very tight/secure
3) The yellow hardcover shows signs of age as well as noticeable staining (to the front and back) - please see all photos including photos #2, #7, and #8
4) There's also staining on the side pages (see photo #4)
5) There's dark yellowing to the very front interior (likely due to the previous owner having a newspaper clipping tucked away inside) see photo #9
In short, this vintage book is in "Fair" vintage condition due to the signs of age and staining and we're pricing it accordingly. The binding is tight and in great shape. Truly a magical and scarce First Edition Trader Vic mixology guide.
