Trader Vic Bartender's Guide 1948, hard cover (no dust cover). Trader Vic made several colors of this book: a fabric/cloth beige hard cover, a bright yellow hard cover, and a reddish-orange hard cover. Trader Vic was a leader in the early tiki drink movement, which became popular when soldiers came home from the South Pacific after WWII and this vintage guide is filled with more than 1,500 cocktail recipes, illustrations, and how to choose the perfect glass for your handcrafted beverage. Truly a spectacular vintage mixology book.

Condition: Good condition with signs of age/wear. We're pretty Type A about the exact condition of our vintage items/books, so here's a full summary: there's one small dark dot (the size of a pinhead) on the front cover, just above the book's logo. There's general age to the hardcover but it's in good condition overall. The binding is right/secure. The interior pages (including just inside the front and back cover) has mild "yellowing" that old books get over the years and there's a darker area just inside the front cover/upper (see photo #8). There's also a small, subtle stain on the top of the book's pages (see photo #9). In short, this vintage cocktail guide is in good vintage condition with mild/general signs of age. Truly a magnificent vintage mixology book. Cheers!
