A stunning Mid Century Cocktail shaker set. This set features an Art Deco pattern and includes 1 glass cocktail shaker and 6 small rocks glasses. No words can express how stunning this pattern is. The pictures don't do it justice. The pattern features an Art Deco design (in a vibrant gold and white) of different "panels" (each with their own Art Deco pattern). The shaker has a vibrant gold-plated lid. We're unsure of the maker but suspect it's by West Virginia Glass Co. (a MCM designer that was very similar to Culver). Truly a breath-taking and rare set. The pictures don't do this MCM set justice! We took photos in two different lighting settings to try and capture the vibrancy of the pattern!
A quick summary on this Mid Century glassware manufacturer: West Virginia Glass Specialty Company (WVGS) was based in Weston, West Virginia and created some of the most stunning glassware from 1929-1987 and was especially well-known for their hand-blown glass. In the 1950s and 60s, WVGS created a number of heavily embossed and/or Hollywood Regency style patterns that, similar to Culver, contained real 22k gold in the paint.

Hallmarks: None Measurements: the cocktail shaker measures 9 1/2" tall by 3 1/2" in diameter (the opening of the shaker) and the small rocks glasses measure 2 3/4" tall x 2 3/4" in diameter Condition: Very good vintage condition with mild signs of wear. The glass has perfectly clarity (no cloudiness). The pattern's colors (gold and white) are very vibrant overall. The gold-plated lid is also very vibrant with some very, very minor tarnish. We're pretty Type A about summarizing the exact condition of our vintage items, so here's a full summary: - there is some very, very mild gold loss (in very small areas) in a few places on the shaker - there's some very, very mild gold loss to a few places on the glasses - there is some other very mild "wear" (i.e. a few small scrapes) to the pattern of the shaker that were so small they were impossible to capture in a photo but can be seen when looking directly at the piece in person and up close In short, this set is in very good vintage condition with mild signs of age/wear. It has a magical feel to it and displays beautifully.
