A lovely set of 6 silver-plated Art Deco-esque cocktail spoons, still in their original box, 1940s. These spoons are nothing short of stunning and feature a slender Art Deco style shape (their spoon bed is much more slender than most Julep soons from the Mid Century) and they have "hollow" stems (for sipping and can be used for Julep spoons or any cocktail/beverage). The box is also lovely and comes in a pastel blue exterior and has a dark navy interior and brass "arms" that allow the lid to slid open and closed. The inside interior of the lid has silver "brush strokes". Truly a stunning set.
Hallmarks/Era: The spoons don't bare any hallmarks; the inside of the box has a gold-foil sticker that says Sakai Silver Smiths Limited in red font.
Condition: Great condition. These appear to be NOS (new old stock) as all the spoons still have their original plastic wrapping (which were temporarily removed for the photos). The box is also in very good shape, there are a few pinhead size spots of wear to the very edges/corners of the box but beyond that the box and sliding hinges are in good shape. Cheers.
Length: The spoons measure approx. 8 1/2" in length.
