A stunning silver-plated antique flask by Simpson Hall Miller & Co., early 1900s. This flask has a magical feel to it. Extremely heavy in weight, it is solid and well-crafted. It features a raised (3-D like) Medieval pattern that includes people from that era as well as birds, clouds, and trees. There's a single thick raised "line" that runs along each side of the flask. The flask is Telescopic or collasible and creates a "shot glass" when needed. It folds into itself and serves as the screw-on cap, when not in use. The cap still has its original cork interior. Truly a breath-taking piece.

Maker: Simpson Hall Miller & Co.

A bit about this vintage manufacturer: Simpson Hall Miller & Co. was a cutlery and silver manufacturer in Wallingford, Connecticut, founded in 1866. In 1898, Simpson Hall Miller & Co. became part of the International Silver Company headquartered in neighboring Meriden. In 1895, the firm began to make a number of pieces that represented significant contributions to the Art Nouveau movement. The International Silver Company continued to make use of both the Simpson, Hall, Miller & Co. brand and product lines in some capacity until 1983 when it permanently ceased to manufacture silver and closed its doors.

Hallmarks: "Simpson Hall Miller & Co" can be found on the bottom of the flask along with the number "26" and "quadruple plate" (aka silver-plated).

Condition: Good condition overall for a flask that's well over 100 years old, but with noticeable signs of age. The silver-plating is in great shape overall and vibrant, beyond some mild tarnish. We like to be thorough when it comes to our vintage pieces, so here's a full summary:

1) The silver-plating is in good shape overall but there's mild tarnish in a number of areas
2) There's a shallow, small ding on the lower section of one side (we attempted to capture it in photos #1 and #3, it was tough to  capture as it's very shallow but can been seen when you run your finger over it)
3) There's minor general "surface wear" that can include micro-fine scratches and scrapes (from past handling, etc) that can be seen on the bottom exterior
4) There's a small nick/dent on the very edge of the screw cap lid (see photo #6)

In short, this antique flask is in good vintage condition overall but does show signs of age/wear as well as a small, shallow dent. It's truly a breath-taking flask that has a magical feel to it.
