A lovely vintage silver-plated cocktail spoon that measures a tad over 12" (12 1/4" in length). by Hawkes. This stunning Art Deco bar spoon features a figural "shovel" shaped spoon bed, a "round" (tube-shaped) stem and a "rounded" finial (we tried to capture this in photo #5). Hawkes made this spoon in both sterling silver as well silver-plate. The spoon in the listing is silver-plated. Truly a breath-taking bar/mixing spoon.
Hallmarks: "Hawkes" can be found on the back of the spoon bed (please excuse the reflection of our white ceiling beams in the photo of the hallmark)
Measurements: Approx 12 1/4" in length
Condition: Good vintage condition overall with mild signs of age. There's some general "age" that comes purely from time. There's some tarnish (mostly around the top finial). There's some what we refer to as minor general surface wear that includes micro-fine scratches, etc. There's one very, very shallow ding on the round finial/knob that's nearly impossible to discern). Lastly, the stem shows "surface wear" as mentioned above and also one very tiny "mark" to the silver-plated that's slightly darker. In short, this bar spoon is in very good condition with mild signs of age, surface wear, and mild tarnish and displays beautifully. Cheers!
