A lovely vintage silver-plated Art Deco "stepped" Jigger, 1930s. A gorgeous stepped or graduated design with 1/2 oz, 1 oz, 1 1 1/2 oz, and 2 oz etched into the jigger. Similar to Napier's well known stepped jigger, this jigger was made by JD & S (James Dixon & Sons). Truly a gorgeous bar measure.

A small bit about this maker: Established in 1806 in Silver Street, Sheffield by James Dixon in partnership with a Mr. Smith. The firm became James Dixon & Son (1823), James Dixon & Sons (1835) and James Dixon & Sons Ltd in 1920. London showrooms were opened in London (1873), Sidney and Melborne (1912) and are still known today for their silversmith craftsmanship.

Measurements: Approx 2 1/2" tall

Maker/year: JD & S (James Dixon & Sons), 1930s

Hallmarks: This jigger has no shortage of hallmarks that include -- "JD &S" along with "EP" (electroplated, aka silver-plated), "L,380/2" "Made in England" and a series of symbols.

Condition: Very, very good vintage condition. The silver-plating is in excellent shape overall. There's some tarnish. Very minimal wear to the exterior of the jigger. There is some very mild silver-plating wear to the interior of the jigger (see photo for reference). No dents or dings. Truly a magical bar measure.

Cheers!
