A magical set of Atomic glasses by Gay Fad, Mid Century. This stunning pattern features a stark gold and black fish with a larger black and Turquoise fish on one side and a larger black and vibrant orange fish on the other side. The pattern is quite intricate and detailed and it was tough to capture all of the detailing, that includes miniature gold fish, miniature black fish, gold sea plants/seaweed, etc. You won't run across this pattern again. If you love Mid Century glassware, this set is for you.

A quick summary about this glassware maker: Gay Fad Studios was founded by Fran Taylor in Detroit, Michigan in 1939 before she relocated the business to Lancaster in 1945. The studio painted glassware by hand, with various designs. It remained in operation until 1963 when it was sold to Santa Claus Inc., an Iowa company. The "Gaite Collection" was a specific collection of patterns by Gay Fad.
