A scarce set of cattle brands-embossed glasses by Imperial Glass Co. for the state of Texas. These glasses were made by Imperial Glass Co. during the early Mid Century and they made a variation for each state (ie Arizona was embossed on the bottom with Arizona and a cactus symbol). These rare glasses have a magical feel to them. The cattle brands are "raised" and have a 3-D like texture. The brown Amber glass is simply stunning. They have a "rope" detailing along the bottom of the glasses. Truly a magical set.
This set includes 6 glasses.
The Imperial Glass Company was founded in 1901 by Edward Muhleman, with production beginning in 1904. Their handmade glasswares were sold worldwide and were typically made of pressed glass patterns. Most well-known for their "Shoji" line, which was manufactured from 1965 to 1974, gilded with real 22k gold and is the quintessential style of the Hollywood Regency Era. They did quite a few other unique and collectible patterns including this Cattle Brands pattern.
