A magical set of 4 Cera "Dow Jones" stock market rocks glasses. Such a neat pattern with heavy enamel and gold embossing of the stock market industrial average (from 1958-1968) in 22k gold, black, and white. Similar to Culver and other MCM glassware manufacturers, Cera used used a heavily textured embossing method with real 22k gold in the pattern. The Stock Market years include: 1915-1935, 1940-1955, 1890-1910, 1960-1980. Truly a stunning set.

Maker/pattern: Cera, Dow Jones

Hallmarks: All glasses are signed

A bit about this glassware manufacturer: Cera Glass was made in Hackensack, NJ, USA, in the 1950s & 60s. They created elegant cocktail glasses, barware and other specialty pieces, which were sold in high end department stores of the era. Anthony Velonis, who was already a famous WPA silkscreener and artist, started the Cera Glass Company which pioneered methods of silkscreen printing on glass. Similar to other Mid Century glassware makers, his designs were trimmed in 22K gold.

Measurements: 4" tall x 3" in diameter

Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The graphics and gold are extremely vibrant. These glasses don't appear to have been used. Please note: there's an extra spot of gold paint on the gold rim on one of the glasses (completely common with Mid Century glassware). See photo #10. The glass clarity is perfectly clear, zero cloudiness. No chips or nicks. Truly a stunning set of Mid Century glasses. Cheers!
