A set of 6 Mid-Century "Ethyl Gasohol" glasses by Cera. Such a fun, cheeky pattern that includes a vibrant red and yellow and black pattern of "Ethyl Gasohol" that mimics the original ad and also has the ounce capacity (14 oz) along with "Contents - Pure Alcohol". One side of the glass has a "Full to Empty" measurement where you can see the contents of your glass and the other side a "Temperature" gauge and you can also see the contents of your glass and where they fall on the gage. Start your engines, Mid Century glassware enthusiasts. Cheers!

Maker/pattern: Cera, Dow Jones

Hallmarks: All glasses are signed "Cera"

A bit about this glassware manufacturer: Cera Glass was made in Hackensack, NJ, USA, in the 1950s & 60s. They created elegant cocktail glasses, barware and other specialty pieces, which were sold in high end department stores of the era. Anthony Velonis, who was already a famous WPA silkscreener and artist, started the Cera Glass Company which pioneered methods of silkscreen printing on glass. Similar to other Mid Century glassware makers, his designs were trimmed in 22K gold as well as thick enameled patterns.

Measurements: 4" tall x 3 1/4" in diameter

Condition: Very good vintage condition. The enamel is in great shape overall and vibrant. There's one tiny mark on the top of the red enamel of one glass (see photo #4) appears to be a manufacturing occurrence. In short, these Mid Century glasses are in good shape with very mild signs of age or wear. Truly a stunning set of Mid Century glasses. Cheers!
