A stunning set of 6 "Poison" glasses by Cera. Mid Century. These glasses were sold exclusively at Neiman Marcus during the Mid Century and were created by Cera. Such a magical pattern with a gorgeous 22k gold, Ivory and Navy Blue pattern of various poisons including: Strychnine, Curare, Hemlock, Cyanide, Belladonna, and Arsenic. These glasses came in a few different varieties including different colors (i.e. ivory and gold and dark brown) as well as the shape/number of ounces. These are not the larger, tapered shape, this set is the traditional rocks glass shape. In addition to the various poisons, each glass has "ounces" on one side and ML (milliliter) on the other. This set of glasses comes with 6 glass stirrers. They are not the original glass stirrers that often came with these glasses (that have flat muddler ends); these stirrers are a "wand" with a single raised "circle" just below the top end of the stirring wand. Truly a magical set of Mid Century glasses.

A quick summary about this glassware maker: similar to Culver, Cera used real 22k gold in many of their glassware patterns and were known for creating some of the most popular Mid Century glassware designs. Cera remains one of the most popular vintage brands for MCM glassware excellence and their Poison glassware remains one of their most popular patterns today.

Maker/era: Cera, Mid Century

Hallmarks: All glasses are signed "Neiman Marcus" in Navy Blue (please note: these were made exclusively for Neiman Marcus and bare the Neiman Marcus signature, not a Cera signature).

This set of 6 glasses include: Strychnine, Arsenic, Belladonna, Curare, Hemlock, Cyanide -- and 6 stirring wands

Measurements: Each glass measures approx. 4" tall x 3 1/4" in diameter; the glass stirrers/wands measure 5 3/4" in length

Condition: Great condition. These glasses have been in a display cabinet for years and don't look like they were ever used. The glass clarity is perfect (no cloudiness). The pattern is vibrant. The "ounces" that are in gold didn't get applied as heavily on the Strychnine glass but that was purely a manufacturing occurrence, not from use. In short, this set is in great condition and displays beautifully.

Please note: Mid Century glassware often has imperfections (i.e. tiny bubbles in the glass, or a "seam" from when the glass was being created, an extra spot of gold or enamel that made it on a clear part of the glass, etc -- purely the nature of vintage glassware).

**On shipping: We take our packaging very seriously and carefully wrap all pieces to ensure safe delivery. These glasses will be double-boxed, which means a larger, heavier box.

****Important to note pre-purchase: Buyers, please examine all photos carefully as we cannot accept returns due to the fragile nature (the possibility of breakage when being shipped back) of our vintage/antique pieces. Our items are true vintage pieces that might have manufacturers flaws, flaws from age, or imperfections in general from being vintage. We try to explain the condition/description in an accurate and thorough manner but we ask that you please examine all photos carefully and ask all questions before purchasing an item as we are unable to accept returns due to the risk of breakage.
