A rare set of 4 Mid Century "Poison" glasses by Cera. Cera offered several variations of these glasses including a larger, flared style that included gold (these were sold exclusively at Neiman Marcus). They also made this style, which is a true rocks glass shape and the colors are a vibrant white and deep chocolate brown. This set includes: Hemlock, Cyanide, Belladonna, and Arsenic. These glasses feature a vibrant white enamel and the various poisons inside a rectangular box and the back offers the measurements in milliliters as well as ounces. Truly a magical set of Mid Century glasses. These glasses come with 4 glass swizzle sticks/stirrers.

A quick summary about this glassware maker: similar to Culver, Cera used real 22k gold in many of their glassware patterns and were known for creating some of the most popular Mid Century glassware designs. Cera remains one of the most popular vintage brands for MCM glassware excellence.

Hallmarks: All glasses are signed "Cera"

Measurements: each glass measures 4 1/4" tall x 3 1/4" in diameter

Condition of the glassware: These glasses are in good vintage condition overall with signs of age and wear. The reason we're using the word "fair" is due to one glass (Hemlock) having micro fine scratching on the interior (likely how it was cleaned in the past), which gives it a slightly "cloudy" appearance. It is very subtle but we like to be very thorough in our descriptions. The glasses themselves are in good shape overall and the enameled pattern is also in very good shape. We're pretty Type A about summarizing the exact condition of our items, so here's a glass by glass summary:

- Hemlock - The enameled pattern is in very good condition overall (as it is on all the glasses). There's one scratch on the glass (the size of a pinhead) on the lower section of the glass. There are also two tiny "bumps" on the rim (these glasses were made in molds and it's completely common for Mid Century glassware to have a smooth, small bump on the rim, see photo #10 as an example). As mentioned above, this glass also has micro fine scratching on the interior (likely how it was cleaned in the past), which gives it a subtle/slightly "cloudy" appearance (it was all but impossible to capture in a photo, see photo #4 ). Lastly, the bottom of the glass has an imperfection that occurred during the manufacturing process: these glasses were made in "molds" and the bottom has a noticeable "crease" that resembles a "wrinkle" in the glass. It is not a crack. It cannot be felt in the bottom interior of the glass, only from the exterior and again resembles a crease or wrinkle and you can feel it when you run your finger across it. See photos #9.
- Cyanide - There is some small, superficial wear to the lower front right of the glass and one smooth bump on the rim
- Belladonna - There are micro tiny (and we mean micro) bubbles on the glass of the rim (again, completely common with MCM glassware) as well as a small smooth bump on the rim
- Arsenic - There are some very superficial scratches on some areas of the glass.

In short, these glasses are in good vintage condition and show signs of age as well as some manufacturing occurrences, so we're pricing them accordingly for their condition. Please see all photos for reference. We took photos in two different lighting settings. This set is a magical one that displays beautifully. Cheers!
