A rare set of 6 "Poison" glasses and their original 6 glass stirrers by Cera, still in their original box. Mid Century. These glasses were sold exclusively at Neiman Marcus during the Mid Century. Such a magical pattern with a gorgeous 22k gold, dark chocolate brown, and Ivory pattern of various poisons including: Strychnine, Curare, Hemlock, Belladonna, Cyanide, and Arsenic. These glasses are larger in size for rocks glasses and have a flared upper and lower design (tapering in the middle slightly). Extremely heavy in weight, these glasses are solid. In addition to the various poisons, each glass has "ounces" on one side and ML (milliliter) on the other. These glasses come with their original glass stirrers which feature a round end (for muddling). The box has various Cera Poison hallmarks. Truly a magical set.

A quick summary about this glassware maker: similar to Culver, Cera used real 22k gold in many of their glassware patterns and were known for creating some of the most popular Mid Century glassware designs. Cera remains one of the most popular vintage brands for MCM glassware excellence and their Poison glassware remains one of their most popular patterns today.

Maker/era: Cera, Mid Century

This set includes: all 6 Poison glasses, 6 stirrers, and the original box.

Hallmarks: All glasses are signed "Cera" and the box has various Cera/poison hallmarks

Measurements: each glass measures 4" tall x a tad over 3 3/4" in diameter; the glass stirrers/wands measure 6" in length

Condition: Excellent condition. They appear to be NOS (new old stock). All glasses have perfect clarity, no cloudiness. Zero chips or nicks. We like to be thorough when it comes to our vintage sets, so here are any flaws we see:

1) The box shows age/wear that cardboard gets over the years (and has one piece of clear tape on it, likely from the previous owner)
2) The Arsenic glass has a small inperfection to the enamel (right side of the label) that likely occurred during manufacturing
3) There's very, very (and we mean very) mild "wear" including a few micro tiny spots of gold loss in a few places (purely due to age, not from use)

Please note: Mid Century glassware often has imperfections (i.e. tiny bubbles in the glass, or a "seam" from when the glass was being created, an extra spot of gold or enamel that made it on a clear part of the glass, etc -- purely the nature of vintage glassware).

In short, this set appears to be NOS (new old stock) and is in excellent vintage condition.

**On shipping: We take our packaging very seriously and carefully wrap all pieces to ensure safe delivery. These glasses will be packed extremely well and also double-boxed, which means a larger, heavier box.

****Important to note pre-purchase: Buyers, please examine all photos carefully as we cannot accept returns due to the fragile nature (the possibility of breakage when being shipped back) of our vintage/antique pieces. Our items are true vintage pieces that might have manufacturers flaws, flaws from age, or imperfections in general from being vintage. We try to explain the condition/description in an accurate and thorough manner but we ask that you please examine all photos carefully and ask all questions before purchasing an item as we are unable to accept returns due to the risk of breakage.
