A lovely set of 6 "Poison" glasses by Cera. Mid Century. Such a magical pattern with a gorgeous 22k gold, off-white (Ivory) and dark brown pattern of various poisons including: Hemlock, Cyanide, Belladonna, and Arsenic. These glasses came in a few different varieties including different colors (i.e. Ivory and gold and dark blue) as well as the shape/number of ounces. These are NOT the larger, tapered shape, this set is the traditional rocks glass shape. In addition to the various poisons, each glass has "ounces" on one side and ML (milliliter) on the other. Truly a magical set of Mid Century glasses.

A quick summary about this glassware maker: similar to Culver, Cera used real 22k gold in many of their glassware patterns and were known for creating some of the most popular Mid Century glassware designs. Cera remains one of the most popular vintage brands for MCM glassware excellence and their Poison glassware remains one of their most popular patterns today.

Maker/era: Cera, Mid Century

Hallmarks: All glasses are signed "Cera"

This set includes 6 glasses only (no stirrers and no box, only the 6 glasses). The glasses included: Arsenic, Belladonna, Hemlock, Cyanide, Strychnine, and Curare.

Measurements: Each glass measures approx. 4" tall x 3 1/4" in diameter

Condition: Great condition. These glasses appear to be NOS (new old stock) as a few of them still have their original department store sticker on the bottom. There's mild 'age" (that comes purely from time, not use) but overall these glasses are in excellent vintage condition. Here is the "age" we see: The "M" in "Name" at the top of the Curare glass didn't get as heavily enameled on one tiny side of the "M". There is a "wave" in the glass of the Cyanide glass on the very bottom (waves, tiny bubbles, and other subtle imperfections) were common with Mid Century glassware. The gold trim on the left side of the Strychnine box/trim doesn't seem quite as heavily applied. In short, this set is in very good vintage condition with mild signs of age and a few manufacturing occurrences. Truly a magical set.

As mentioned above please note: Mid Century glassware often has imperfections (i.e. tiny bubbles in the glass, or a "seam" from when the glass was being created, an extra spot of gold or enamel that made it on a clear part of the glass, etc -- purely the nature of vintage glassware).

**On shipping: We take our packaging very seriously and carefully wrap all pieces to ensure safe delivery. These glasses will be double-boxed, which means a larger, heavier box.
