A lovely set of Cera "World Atlas Map" glasses that include 3 tumblers and 2 small rocks glasses. Such a magical pattern with its heavy embossing of old world atlas maps outlined in 22k gold. Similar to Culver and other MCM glassware manufacturers, Cera used used a heavily textured embossing method with real 22k gold in the pattern. If you're not up on your geography, this set will get you there! Why not sip your drinks out of these stunning rocks glasses?!

Maker/pattern: Cera, World Atlas Maps

A quick summary on this glassware manufacturer: Cera Glass was made in Hackensack, NJ, USA, in the 1950s & 60s. They created elegant cocktail glasses, barware and other specialty pieces, which were sold in high end department stores of the era. Anthony Velonis, who was already a famous WPA silkscreener and artist, started the Cera Glass Company which pioneered methods of silkscreen printing on glass. Similar to other Mid Century glassware makers, his designs were trimmed in 22K gold.

Hallmarks: These glasses are not signed

Condition: Good vintage condition with mild signs of age. The 3 taller tumblers don't have any fading. The 2 small rocks glasses have mild wear/fading of the gold in a few places. The glass clarity is clear, no cloudiness. In short, these glasses are in good vintage condition with mild signs of wear.

Measurements: The 3 tumblers measure 5 1/2" tall x 2 3/4" in diameter; the small rocks glasses measure 3 1/4" x 3"

*Please note: this pattern has two variations and one included maps only and another included large medallions -- the tumblers are the maps only and the rocks glasses also include the large gold compass medallion.
