A lovely set of 6 Cera "World Atlas Map" Old-Fashioned glasses. Such a magical pattern with its heavy embossing of old world atlas maps outlined in 22k gold. Similar to Culver and other MCM glassware manufacturers, Cera used used a heavily textured embossing method with real 22k gold in the pattern. If you're not up on your geography, this set will get you there! Why not sip your drinks out of these stunning rocks glasses?!

Maker/pattern: Cera, World Atlas Maps A quick summary on this glassware manufacturer: Cera Glass was made in Hackensack, NJ, USA, in the 1950s & 60s. They created elegant cocktail glasses, barware and other specialty pieces, which were sold in high end department stores of the era. Anthony Velonis, who was already a famous WPA silkscreener and artist, started the Cera Glass Company which pioneered methods of silkscreen printing on glass. Similar to other Mid Century glassware makers, his designs were trimmed in 22K gold.

Hallmarks: All pieces are are signed "Cera" (one glass/signature is faded ever so slightly) Condition:

Excellent condition. The glass clarity is perfectly clear, no cloudiness. No chips or nicks. The pattern/gold is vibrant. These glasses appear to have never been used. Truly a lovely set.

Measurements: 4" tall x 3 1/4" in diameter We're also selling a set of 6 tall tumblers in this pattern as well as a martini pitcher set, if you're interested in a larger set. See other listings!
