A stunning set of six (6) silver-plated Cherry Bakelite picks in their original box, 1940s. This set is nothing short of magical. The Cherry Bakelite finials are a vibrant, bold red and the silver-plated picks feature pointed tips and "slanted" tops just above the cherry finial (see photo #3). They come in their original box that has a brass clasp. These picks are surprisingly heavy in weight and hae a solid feel to them. The hard-sided box has a black interior with a white silk and black velvet interior. The exterior is a faux snake print. Truly a breath-taking set of picks.

*Please note: these finials appears to be Bakelite but we have not tested them.

Hallmarks: The box interior is hallmarked "Made in England" and "Landers Ltd Sydney" (we presume that was the jewelry store they were purchased from). The picks are hallmarked "Made in England" and EPNS (electroplated nickel silver aka silver-plated)

Condition: Good vintage condition with mild expected signs of age and wear. The Cherry finials are in very good shape overall but do show tarnish on the silver-plating. All picks are straight and the cherry finials are in excellent condition. The box also shows age including yellowing that silk gets over the course of decades as well as mild wear to the exterior including a few scrapes (see photos). In short, these picks are in very good vintage condition with mild signs of age/wear. Truly a lovely set that has a magical feel to it.

Measurements: The picks measures approx 3" in length

Cheers!
