A stunning set of four (4) Mid-Century Culver Canella glasses. Truly a breath-taking set that screams Hollywood Regency. The pattern is heavily "embossed" or textured with Culver's 22k gold "Canella" design (a basketweave pattern) and truly breath-taking! The vibrancy of the gold as well as the texture is simply gorgeous.
*This pattern is often spelled two different ways: "Canella" and "Cannella" -- (the correct spelling is Canella) -- so we use both for search purposes.

A quick summary about this glassware maker: Culver was famous for their stunning decorative glassware in 22-karat gold – think lavish and opulent cocktailware of the 1950s and 60s. In the late 1950’s, Culver started the application of the 22-karat gold to their glassware. Fun fact: the super-heated, roll-on process of gold remains a secret today. Condition: Very good vintage condition. The gold ins vibrant and in great shape with very, very little wear. Please note: these glassware pieces were made in molds and will often have micro tiny imperfections such as a "seam" that can be seen (when the pattern was applied), a tiny bubble in the glass, etc. Purely the nature of Mid Century glassware.
