A stunning set of seven (6) Mid-Century Culver "Florentine" rocks glasses. The pattern is textured with almost a "sandy" like texture (similar to Culver'as Canella pattern) and is simply stunning. These large rocks glasses feature a variety of fruit that includes a pineapple, an apple, a pear, and grapes and have a top wide band that also has those fruit embossed within the band. The vibrancy of the gold as well as the texture is simply gorgeous.

A quick summary about this glassware maker: Culver was famous for their stunning decorative glassware in 22-karat gold – think lavish and opulent cocktailware of the 1950s and 60s. In the late 1950’s, Culver started the application of the 22-karat gold to their glassware. Fun fact: the super-heated, roll-on process of gold remains a secret today. Culver comes in a variety of patterns including gilded mushrooms, owls, cats, wildlife, Egyptian or Asian inspired design themes, scrolling leaf patterns, holiday designs, sports motifs and many others.

Maker/pattern/year: Culver Ltd, 22K gold "Florentine" pattern, 1960s

Hallmarks: All glasses are signd "Culver" in 22k gold

Measurements: 4" tall x 3 3/4" in diameter

Condition: Good vintage condition with mild signs of age or wear. The gold is vibrant and in great shape overall but does show very minor wear/age. We like to be thorough when it comes to our vintage glassware sets, so here's a full summary: 1) There's one area that didn't get fully filled in with gold, completely common with MCM glassware (see photo #8) 2) There's one small chip right inside the glass (below the rim) that's smooth to the touch (see photo #9) The glass clarity is perfectly clear (no cloudiness). In short, these glasses are in good vintage condition with mild signs of age/wear and display beautifully. Truly a lovely set.
