A stunning set of seven (7) glasses by Culver. This gorgeous pattern features a heavily textured abstract "Brutalist" design. The photos don't do this pattern justice and we'll likely re-shoot this set. The texture has a raised, 3-D like feel to it and has an intentional "crackle" design to it and features abstract cut-out squares. All glasses are signed. Truly a breath-taking set.
A quick summary about this glassware maker: Culver created the application of the 22-karat gold to their glassware. Fun fact: the super-heated, roll-on process of gold remains a secret today. Culver comes in a variety of patterns including gilded mushrooms, owls, cats, wildlife, Egyptian or Asian inspired design themes, scrolling leaf patterns, holiday designs, sports motifs and many others.
Maker/Era: Culver Ltd., Mid Century
Hallmarks: All glasses are signed "Culver Ltd" in gold cursive (please note: some signatures are slightly fainter than others)
Measurements: 3 1/4" tall x 3 1/2" in diameter
Condition: Very, very good vintage condition. The glass clarity is perfectly clear. If these glasses were ever used, it wasn't much. The gold is vibrant. There's some very, very minor age to the gold in a few places (very minor). Overall, this set is in great vintage condition and displays beautifully. This pattern has a magical feel to it.
