A breath-taking martini/cocktail set by Culver, late 1960s. This pattern, often referred to as "Burlap" or "Basketweave" as it resembles that texture, is simply stunning. The vibrant gold and raised texture is downright gorgeous. This tall, slender pitcher features a "cat tail" handle and is spouted, for easy pouring. This set also comes with a glass wand stirrer and 6 matching rocks glasses. No words can express how stunning this set truly is.

A quick summary about this glassware maker: Culver started the application of the 22-karat gold to their glassware. Fun fact: the super-heated, roll-on process of gold remains a secret today. Culver comes in a variety of patterns including gilded mushrooms, owls, cats, wildlife, Egyptian or Asian inspired design themes, scrolling leaf patterns, holiday designs, sports motifs and many others. MCM Culver glassware is the essence of Hollywood Regency and vintage glam!

Measurements: The wand measures 12 1/2" in length; the rocks glasses measure 3 1/4" tall x 2 3/4" in diameter (please note these are smaller rocks glasses, not the over-sized double rocks glasses); the pitcher measures 10 3/4" tall.

Hallmarks: The pitcher and glasses are all signed "Culver Ltd" in 22k gold

Condition: Excellent condition. This set appears to have never been used.

Please note: Mid Century glassware often has imperfections (i.e. tiny bubbles in the glass, or a tiny bit of residue where an extra bit of glue around the jewels when they were applied, the jewels are perfectly aligned, etc -- purely the nature of vintage glassware). There are are few of those in this set including:

1) one of the rocks glasses has a rough area (that's a bunch of micro tiny bubbles that occurred when the glass was made)
2) there are two small bubbles the size of a pinhead in the glass pitcher (one on the handle, one on the pitcher)
3) the handle of the pitcher's tip is "rough" (again, not uncommon to MCM glassware as this pitcher was made in a mold)

In short, this set is in great condition and beyond small manufacturing occurrences is in pristine condition. Truly a breath-taking set. Cheers!
