A whimsical set of 6 Culver "Metrics" rocks glasses, in their original box. These clever glasses feature a gold ruler on the bottom and the complete "metrics table" in a stunning "matte" (meaning non-shiny) chocolate brown and gold font against a frosted white background. Culver was known for making some clever, cheeky glassware patterns and these Metrics glasses are no exception. The box features a life-sized ruler, a list of metrics measures, and various Culver hallmarks. These glasses are solid, heavier in weight. Why not know how many quarts are in a liter while you're sipping your drink?? We feel smarter already ;)

**Please note: their was a thin metrics booklet that originally came with this set and it is not present/included (it likely got lost or misplaced over the years).

Maker: Culver A quick summary about this glassware maker: Culver was famous for their stunning decorative glassware in 22-karat gold – think lavish and opulent cocktailware of the 1950s and 60s. In the late 1950’s, Culver started the application of the 22-karat gold to their glassware. Fun fact: the super-heated, roll-on process of gold remains a secret today. Culver comes in a variety of patterns including gilded mushrooms, owls, cats, wildlife, Egyptian or Asian inspired design themes, scrolling leaf patterns, holiday designs, sports motifs and many others.

Hallmarks: The glasses do NOT bare the Culver hallmark. Please note: Culver did not sign this particular pattern (likely to not interfere with the pattern). The box is hallmarked "Culver".

Measurements: The glasses measure 4" tall x 3 1/4" diameter Condition: The glasses are in excellent condition and if they were used, it wasn't very much. The glass clarity is clear. The gold and chocolate font is vibrant. No chips of any kind.

Please note when it comes to Mid Century glassware: there will be a spot of extra paint here and there, or a "line" or enameled area that isn't perfect, or a tiny bubble in the glass -- this is the nature of Mid Century glassware. In short, this set is in very, very good vintage condition. The box is in "fair" condition (please see photo) and has a number of stains (likely due to how it was stored in the past) and the cardboard has also yellowed (which often occurs to paper products over the course of decades). Truly a gorgeous set.

**On shipping: We take our packaging very seriously and carefully wrap all pieces well to ensure safe delivery. Please note: we are not making a penny on shipping. We pack our items securely to ensure safe arrival ( (especially our glassware, which means a larger, heavier box)! If you buy multiple pieces/sets, we will combine shipping if possible (glassware sets typically ship in their own box to ensure safe arrival) and will reimburse you for any shipping overages.

****Important to note pre-purchase: Buyers, please examine all photos carefully as we cannot accept returns due to the fragile nature (the possibility of breakage when being shipped back) of our vintage/antique pieces. Our items are true vintage pieces that might have manufacturers flaws, flaws from age, or imperfections in general from being vintage. We try to explain the condition/description in an accurate and thorough manner but we ask that you please examine all photos carefully and ask all questions before purchasing an item as we are unable to accept returns due to the risk of breakage. Cheers!
