A lovely and rare set of Culver "Oil Derrick" martini pitcher set. This set includes 2 small rocks glasses, 1 martini pitcher, and 1 glass stirring wand/muddler. This pattern features a deep black "Oil Derrick" pattern with gold rims on the top and a thicker gold band on the bases. Truly a stunning set that displays beautifully.

Maker: Culver Ltd.

A quick summary about this glassware maker: Culver was famous for their stunning decorative glassware in 22-karat gold – think lavish and opulent cocktailware of the 1950s and 60s. In the late 1950’s, Culver started the application of the 22-karat gold to their glassware. Fun fact: the super-heated, roll-on process of gold remains a secret today. Culver comes in a variety of patterns including gilded mushrooms, owls, cats, wildlife, Egyptian or Asian inspired design themes, scrolling leaf patterns, holiday designs, sports motifs and many others.

Hallmarks: None. Please note: Culver did not sign this particular pattern; there's a gold foil sticker on the pitcher that says "Lotus 22k gold trim" (for the specific gold trim that was used on this set).

Measurements: The pitcher measures 6 1/4" tall x 3" in diameter; the stirring wand (which has a flat muddler tip) measures 8 1/4" in length; the rocks glasses measure 2 3/4" tall x 2 1/2" in diameter -- please note: these are SMALL rocks glasses, not a large or what we'd refer to as a double rocks glass size.

Condition: Excellent condition. This set is NOS (new old stock) and has never been used. The gold is extremely vibrant. The black is vibrant and rich in color. The glass clarity is pristine.

**On shipping: We take our packaging very seriously and carefully wrap all pieces to ensure safe delivery. This set will be double-boxed to ensure safe arrival.
