A lovely set of 5 Culver Pineapple glasses, Mid Century. Culver made this pattern in two colors: Turquoise and an orange tone. The embossing is spectacular and features a "mesh-like" upper that's an opaque white and a lower section of vibrant Turquoise with gold pineapples. There are thick gold bands at the top, middle, and bottom sections. Please note: this pattern's Turquoise color/enamel is purposefully "matte" (meaning there's no "shine" to it, it's very "matte" in texture). The gold pineapples are vibrant and extremely shiny. The pictures don't do the texture of this pattern justice. Truly a breath-taking pattern.
A quick summary about this glassware maker: Culver started the application of the 22-karat gold to their glassware. Fun fact: the super-heated, roll-on process of gold remains a secret today. Culver comes in a variety of patterns including gilded mushrooms, owls, cats, wildlife, Egyptian or Asian inspired design themes, scrolling leaf patterns, holiday designs, sports motifs and many others.
This set includes 5 glasses
Hallmarks: Four of the give glasses are signed "Culver Ltd" (one glass does not bare a signature)
Measurements: Approx 5 1/2" tall x 2 3/4" in diameter
Condition: Good vintage condition overall with mild signs of age. The gold is vibrant overall. The glass clarity is excellent (no cloudiness). We like to be thorough, so here's a glass by glass summary:
Glass 1 - One small spot of wear/gold loss to the gold band on the bottom (very, very small)
Glass 2 - A tiny dot of extra glass (and we mean tiny, smaller than a pinhead) just below the top rim of the glass (completely common with Mid Century glass)
Glass 3 - A series tiny dots of extra glass just below the top rim of the glass
Glass 4 - Two small spots of wear/gold loss to the gold band on the bottom (very, very small)
Glass 5 - A small area where the gold didn't get filled in as heavily on the top rim (completely common with Mid Century glass)
PLEASE note: it's very subtle, but you can see the "seam" where the glassware pattern was applied to each glass (completely common with Mid Century glassware, especially many Culver patterns) - it's very subtle but we like to be thorough when it comes to our glassware. In short, these glasses are in good vintage condition with mild signs of age and several manufacturing occurrences. Cheers!
Also please note: Mid Century glassware often has imperfections (i.e. tiny bubbles in the glass, or an extra dot of gold that made it to the clear glass, or a smudge in the colored enamel, etc - purely the nature of vintage glassware).
**On shipping: We take our packaging very seriously and carefully wrap all pieces well to ensure safe delivery. Please note: we are not making a penny on shipping. We pack our items securely to ensure safe arrival (especially our glassware, which means a larger, heavier box)!

Our items are true vintage pieces that might have manufacturers flaws, flaws from age, or imperfections in general from being vintage. We try to explain the condition/description in an accurate and thorough manner but we ask that you please examine all photos carefully and ask all questions before purchasing an item as we are unable to accept returns due to the risk of breakage/damage..
