Maker / Era: Culver, Mid Century
A quick summary about this glassware maker: Culver was famous for their stunning decorative glassware in 22-karat gold – think lavish and opulent cocktailware of the 1950s and 60s. In the late 1950’s, Culver started the application of the 22-karat gold to their glassware. Fun fact: the super-heated, roll-on process of gold remains a secret today. Culver comes in a variety of patterns including gilded mushrooms, owls, cats, wildlife, Egyptian or Asian inspired design themes, scrolling leaf patterns, holiday designs, sports motifs and many others.
Hallmarks: None (*please note: these glasses do not bare the Culver signature)
Measurements: 3 1/2" tall by 3" in diameter
Condition: Very, very good vintage condition overall with minor general age. The green enamel is vibrant as is the gold. There is extremely minimal wear and a small amount of gold loss on one glass. Also, two of the glasses have small areas that feel like "braille" (very subtle and a common manufacturing occurrence with Mid Century glassware); it's very subtle but we like to be thorough when it comes to our vintage glassware. In short, this set is in good vintage condition and displays beautifully. Truly a stunning set that displays beautifully.
**On shipping: We take our packaging very seriously and carefully wrap all pieces to ensure safe delivery.
