A gorgeous Culver "Valencia" wine carafe and 5 wine glasses. The Culver's Valencia pattern, is one of our favorite Culver patterns and consists of a vibrant gold scroll embossing with olive green diamonds. Truly a breath-taking pattern that screams Hollywood Regency style. This wine carafe set would looking stunning displayed on a bar cart or for serving wine to guests! The pictures don't do this set justice!
A quick summary about this glassware maker: Culver was famous for their stunning decorative glassware in 22-karat gold – think lavish and opulent cocktailware of the 1950s and 60s. In the late 1950’s, Culver started the application of the 22-karat gold to their glassware. Fun fact: the super-heated, roll-on process of gold remains a secret today. Culver comes in a variety of patterns including gilded mushrooms, owls, cats, wildlife, Egyptian or Asian inspired design themes, scrolling leaf patterns, holiday designs, sports motifs and many others. The Valencia pattern is the pinnacle of their patterns and was Culver's most popular seller during the Mid Century.
Hallmarks: ***Please note -- Culver did not sign certain pieces in this particular pattern. While they did sign the martini pitchers, the taller tumbler glasses, and the footed cordial glasses in this pattern, to our knowledge they did not sign the carafes or wine glasses. So these pieces do not bare the Culver signature.
Measurements: The carafe measures 8 1/4" tall; the wine glasses measure approx 5 1/2" tall x 2 3/4" in diameter.

Condition: Good vintage condition with mild signs of wear. Good clarity (no cloudiness to the glass). This is some very minimal surface wear on the carafe (a few very superficial scratches in a few places). The wine glasses appear to have never been used. The gold and green pattern is extremely vibrant on all pieces. There's one very, very small area on the gold pattern/band of the carafe where the gold didn't get applied quite as heavily (completely common with Mid Century glassware). In short, this set is in good vintage condition and displays beautifully!
