A lovely Mid Century Modern shot glasses caddy set by Culver. The pattern is called Valencia and features a vibrant gold scroll embossing with enameled olive green diamonds. The holder features a metal caddy with a Walnut wood handle. Why not shoot your favorite spirit in one of these MCM shot glasses?! Truly a lovely set.

A bit about this glassware manufacturer: Culver was famous for their stunning decorative glassware in 22-karat gold – think lavish and opulent cocktailware of the 1950s and 60s. In the late 1950’s, Culver started the application of the 22-karat gold to their glassware. Fun fact: the super-heated, roll-on process of gold remains a secret today. Culver comes in a variety of patterns including gilded mushrooms, owls, cats, wildlife, Egyptian or Asian inspired design themes, holiday designs, sports motifs and many others. Culver stopped producing its gold overlay pieces in the 1980s.
Hallmarks: These shot glasses do not bare any hallmarks
Set includes: 1 caddy and 6 shot glasses
Measurements: Each shot glass measures approx. 2 1/4" tall x 2" in diameter; the caddy measures just shy of 7" in length x 4" tall x 4" in width
Condition: Good vintage condition overall with mild signs of age and wear. We're pretty Type A about the exact condition of our items/sets, so here's a full summary:
1) The metal caddy shows noticeable wear in a few places (see photo #5)
2) The wood handle is in great shape
3) The shot glasses are all in very good shape (great glass clarity) no chips or nicks
4) There's a "seam" (purely the nature of this Culver pattern and many other Culver patterns and how the pattern was applied to the glass) -- it's very subtle but we like to mention it -
5) The pattern is extremely vibrant and in good shape overall with very little to no gold loss.
In short, this set is in very good vintage condition overall with the metal caddy showing signs of age. Truly a stunning set that displays beautifully.
