A lovely Art Deco chrome "Bubble" cocktail shaker designed by Omer A. Menard in 1935 for Farberware, Brooklyn, NY. This Shaker features three graduated spheres on a footed base with pour spout and curved black handle with red ball spacers. This Art Deco shaker has a magical feel to it and displays beautifully.
Hallmarks: "Farberware Brooklyn NY" can be found on the bottom of the shaker
Condition: Good/Fair vintage condition. We're including "Fair" due to some noticeable signs of age. We like to be thorough when it comes to our vintage pieces, so here's a full summary:
1) There's what we refer to as "general surface wear" to the chrome that includes micro-fine scrapes, scratches, etc.
2) The red Bakelite spear/tube that fits through the top finial is missing
3) The handle and red spheres show mild age
4) There are three small areas of what appear to be a light brown "glue" in three spots on the chrome that we presume happened during manufacturing
5) The interior is clean overall but does show mild age
6) There's a micro shallow ding on the lid, the middle spear, and the footed base
The screw cap screws on/off tightly. In short, this shaker is in Good/Fair condition, again, "Fair" due to some noticeable signs for age outlined above. Truly a magical Art Deco piece.
