A stunning and magical set of Atomic Starburst glasses caddy set by Fred Press. The epitome of Atomic glassware. This pattern features two half moons (that make a circle) with a gold starburst pattern radiating from it along with retro atomic boldly colored dots (that resemble a bean shape). The colors include: 2 Turquoise, 2 Yellow, 2 Orange, and 2 White. Similar to Culver and other MCM glassware makers, Fred Press used real 22k gold in their paint. The caddy is a heavy metal gold-plated caddy that holds the 8 tumblers. All glasses are signed. Truly a gorgeous set!

This set includes 8 glasses and 1 metal caddy

A quick summary on this glassware maker: Mid-Century designer Fred Press was known for creating unique and stunning cocktail glassware (sold at places like New York’s Fifth Avenue and other upscale Mid Century retailers). As with many Mid Century glassware makers, real 22k gold was used in the paint. Fred Press glassware typically bares the signature "Fred Press". Best known for their Gold Starburst series, their patterns are unmistakable.

Hallmarks: All glasses are signed "Fred Press" in their respective color (i.e. the Turquoise glass is signed in Turquoise).

Measurements: Each highball glass is 5 1/2" tall by 2 3/4" in diameter

Condition: Good vintage condition with minor signs of age. We like to be thorough when it comes to our vintage glassware, so here's a full summary:

1) All glasses have great clarity (no cloudiness)
2) All glasses are signed
3) There's minor gold loss in a few areas to the half moon trim as well as the tips of the "starbursts" -- see photo
4) There's minor wear/small scuffs to some of the enamel -- see photo
5) One of the white glasses has a micro tiny fleabite on the rim (we are unsure if it's a fleabite or a manufacturing occurrence as it's smooth to the touch and not rough) -- see photo #9
6) The metal caddy shows signs of age/oxidation that's noticeable -- we zoomed in so you can see the metal up close, see photo #7

In short, this Atomic glassware set is in very good vintage condition overall but does show signs of age including minor gold loss in a few aeras, some minor scuffing in a few areas, a micro tiny fleabite on one glass, and the caddy shows age/oxidation. This set displays beautifully. Cheers. (More photos available upon request).
