A lovely set of 4 "Bacchanal" patterned glasses by Gay Fad, Mid Century. This magical pattern features a design of stylized Atomic symbols in a vibrant gold and black against a stark white background. We've attached the original magazine ad (see last photo). Please note, this is purely for reference and does not come with the 4 glasses. Cheers!

A quick summary about this glassware maker: Gay Fad Studios was founded by Fran Taylor in Detroit, Michigan in 1939 before she relocated the business to Lancaster in 1945. The studio painted glassware by hand, with various designs. It remained in operation until 1963 when it was sold to Santa Claus Inc., an Iowa company.

Maker/Era/Pattern: Gay Fad / Mid Century / Bacchanal

Measurements: 5 1/4" tall x 2 3/4" in diameter

Hallmarks: These glasses bare the Federal Glass Hallmark (it was not uncommon for various glassware makes such as Culver and Gay Fad to use "blank" glasses that were made by other makers and apply their patterns).

Condition: Very, very good vintage condition. These glasses have been in a cabinet for decades and not experienced in actual use. Beyond very mild, general age, these glasses are in great shape. In short, these glasses are in very good vintage condition and display beautifully.

**On shipping: We take our packaging very seriously and carefully wrap all pieces to ensure safe delivery. We pack our glassware well, which means a larger, heavier box.

****Important to note pre-purchase: Buyers, please examine all photos carefully as we cannot accept returns due to the fragile nature (the possibility of breakage or damage when being shipped back) of our vintage/antique pieces. Our items are true vintage pieces that might have manufacturers flaws, flaws from age, or imperfections in general from being vintage. We try to explain the condition/description in an accurate and thorough manner but we ask that you please examine all photos carefully and ask all questions before purchasing an item as we are unable to accept returns due to the risk of breakage/damage.
