A stunning set of 6 rocks glasses by Georges Briard. The pattern is simply gorgeous with an Art Deco design to it. It features a silver and beige "arches". The silver is more of a cross between a gold and silver combined and the beige tone is what we'd describe as a vibrant off-white. The pictures don't do them justice. Heavier in weight, these glasses are solid and well-crafted. Truly a breath-taking set.

A quick summary on this glassware maker: Georges Briard was the go-to for decorative housewares in the 1950s and 60s and was carried at upscale retails like Bloomingdale’s and Neiman Marcus. Briard’s success and notoriety came with the use of 22-karat gold as screened decoration for bent glassware. His design hallmarks are repetitive patterns, most often featuring geometric shapes or nature based images. Georges Briard is known for creating some of the most stunning Mid Century Modern glassware as well as Atomic and Kitsch designs in the later 1970s and is the essence of MCM glassware excellence.

Maker/era: Georges Briard, Mid Century

Hallmarks: all glasses are signed "Georges Briard" in silver

Condition: Good vintage condition with mild signs of wear. The glass clarity is perfect (no cloudiness). There's mild surface wear to some of the silver trim as well as the off-white/beige pattern (where it appears slightly darker in a few areas, it was impossible to capture in a photo). Please note: one of the glasses has a bit of extra glass which gives it a very subtle bumpy feel when you run your finger over it. It's completely smooth and occurred during manufacturing (not uncommon with Mid Century glassware). In short, these glasses are in good vintage condition with mild wear; they display beautifully.

Measurements: Each glass measures 3 1/4" tall x 3 1/4" in diameter

**On shipping: We take our packaging very seriously and carefully wrap all pieces to ensure safe delivery. These glasses will be double-boxed, which means a larger, heavier box.
