A stunning set of vintage silver-plated liquor tags by Gorham, still in their original box (NOS, new old stock). We didn't remove them from their original packaging, so if you'd like to see a tag without the plastic covering, please see our other listings. We have a single Gorham "Gin" tag listed. These tags are a true bright silver tone. Any "gold" hue you see is from our camera's flash. We took photos in two different lighting settings to capture their true tone. These tags feature a rectangular shape with a gorgeous ornate edging and heavily embossed/raised lettering. The box is a vibrant maroon with 4 slots for each of the tags and is hallmarked "Gorham". Truly a spectacular set.

Maker/year: Gorham, Mid Century

A little bit about this maker: Jabez Gorham started Gorham silver in 1831 in a shop on Steeple Street in Providence, Rhode Island. Born to a family of eight, he was apprenticed to New England silver patriarch Nehemiah Dodge at a very early age. Dodge is known as one of the founders of the silver and jewelry crafts industry in 18th century New England. After his seven-year apprenticeship with Dodge, Jabez formed his own business and quickly established a name for himself. For more than 150 years Gorham Silver has been known as one of the preeminent silversmith companies in the world and well-known for their vintage barware items including their stoplight jigger, a number of other jiggers, cocktail shakers and decanter tags.

Set includes 4 tags: Bourbon, Gin, Vodka, Scotch

Hallmarks: "Gorham EP YC 352" is embossed on the back of each tag

Measurements: Including the chain, 3" x 1 1/2" (from the top of the chain to the bottom of the tag, it measures just shy of 4"). Excluding the chain, the tags are approx 2 3/4" across by 1 1/2" tall.

Condition: Excellent condition. They appear to be NOS (new old stock). As mentioned above, they are a vibrant silver tone. Any yellow "hue" you see is purely from the camera's flash. The box is in very good shape with the exception of one tiny scrape on the top left side (see photo).

**On shipping: We take our packaging very seriously and carefully wrap all pieces to ensure safe delivery. If purchasing multiple pieces, we will combine shipping to a single box (or as few boxes as possible).

****Important to note pre-purchase: Buyers, please examine all photos carefully as we cannot accept returns due to the fragile nature (the possibility of breakage or damage when being shipped back) of our vintage/antique pieces. Our items are true vintage pieces that might have manufacturers flaws, flaws from age, or imperfections in general from being vintage. We try to explain the condition/description in an accurate and thorough manner but we ask that you please examine all photos carefully and ask all questions before purchasing an item as we are unable to accept returns due to the risk of breakage/damage. Cheers!

>>> IMPORTANT UNPACKING INSTRUCTIONS/PROOF OF ORDER ACCURACY & SHIPMENT: on orders with MULTIPLE pieces please note that if your order has more than one item/piece in it (so multiple pieces such as a set of jiggers, cocktail picks, tags, Julep cups, combined shipping orders, the screw cap on a flask or shaker, etc.) please take care to thoroughly empty the box and unpack ALL pieces which may be hidden in tissue paper, bubble wrap, peanuts, etc. We cannot be responsible if you accidentally throw one of your items away! We WILL be able to confirm with 100% certainty that we shipped ALL pieces in your order as we photograph/document ALL PIECES in the box it ships in along with the buyer’s order receipt, shipping label, and tracking number (in case we need to verify that all pieces were shipped once the package has been received). Thank you for shopping with us and cheers!
