Swoon alert! A very rare set of 3 Imperial Glass Co. "Bambu" (aka bamboo) lowball glasses. The texture is simply incredible on these with a heavily raised, almost 3-D like texture; true Hollywood Regency style at its finest. These magical glasses were made by Imperial Glass Co. in the 1960s through the early 1970s and have real 22k gold in the paint, which gives them their intense vibrancy. The "Bambu" pattern is stunning with a raised bamboo-like embossing from top to bottom. This set is nothing short of breath-taking!

The Imperial Glass Company was founded in 1901 by Edward Muhleman, with production beginning in 1904. Their handmade glasswares were sold worldwide and were typically made of pressed glass patterns. This Hollywood Regency line, which was manufactured from 1965 to 1974, gilded with real 22k gold and is the quintessential style of the Hollywood Regency Era.

Maker/pattern/year: Imperial Glass Company, Bambu, 1965-1974 Hallmarks: Please note: while the Imperial Glass Co tall Bambu tumblers has the embossed "IG" on the bottom of the glass, their lowball Bambu glasses did NOT bear the embossed/raised "IG" but came with a tiny "sticker" (about the size of a stamp) that bore the Imperial Glass company and pattern name.

This set comes with 3 glasses total.

Measurements: 3 3/4" tall and 3 3/4" in diameter Condition: Very, very good vintage condition. Zero nicks, chips, cracks in any of the glasses. The glass clarity is excellent (zero cloudiness). The gold is extremely vibrant. These glasses have been stored away for years and weren't used. Please note: each set of Bambu glasses varied a bit in terms of how much of the raised "bamboo" portions of the glass made contact with the gold paint (when the gold was applied)...we've seen sets that are heavily coated and others, like this set where sections of the raised Bambu simply didn't get covered/coated with gold, depending on each batch/set. So these 3 glasses, while in great condition, do have sections that simply didn't get covered in gold. Purely a manufacturing thing and not from use or wear. See photos for reference. Truly a stunning set. Cheers!
