A rare and stunning Imperial Glass Co "Cracker Barrel" ice bucket. This piece was typically used as an ice bucket although it's titled as a snack bowl. Imperial Glass Co. made a number of Mid-Century glassware patterns that included real 22k gold in the paint. This particular pattern mimics a "barrel" right down to the nail studs and wood texture (this was their "Keg, Gold on Amber" collection. This pattern came in an amber colored glass and a clear glass. Heavy in weight, this Mid Century ice bucket is nothing short of spectacular. We've included the original magazine ad (please note: this is purely for reference and does not come with the ice bucket).

The Imperial Glass Company was founded in 1901 by Edward Muhleman, with production beginning in 1904. Their handmade glasswares were sold worldwide and were typically made of pressed glass patterns. This Hollywood Regency line, which was manufactured from 1965 to 1974, gilded with real 22k gold and is the quintessential style of the Hollywood Regency Era.

Hallmarks: The IG (Imperial Glass) hallmark can be found on the bottom of the ice bucket

Measurements: 4 1/2" tall by 5 1/4" in diameter

Condition: Very good vintage condition. This ice bucket appears to have never been used. There is some extremely minor wear to the rim (see photo #3) and extremely minor to the bottom trim (very, very minor). Beyond some extremely minor wear/age that comes purely from time, this ice bucket is in very, very good vintage condition and displays beautifully.
