A rare and stunning Imperial Glass "Big Keg" glasses set by Imperial Glass Co. Imperial Glass made a number of Mid-Century glassware patterns that included real 22k gold in the paint. This particular pattern mimics a "barrel" right down to the nail studs and wood texture (this was their "Keg, Gold on Amber" collection. This pattern came in an amber colored glass and a clear glass. We've included the original magazine ad (please note: this is purely for reference and does not come with the ice bucket).

The Imperial Glass Company was founded in 1901 by Edward Muhleman, with production beginning in 1904. Their handmade glasswares were sold worldwide and were typically made of pressed glass patterns. This Hollywood Regency line, which was manufactured from 1965 to 1974, gilded with real 22k gold and is the quintessential style of the Hollywood Regency Era.

Hallmarks: The IG (Imperial Glass) hallmark can be found on the bottom of each glass

Measurements: 5 1/4" tall by 2 3/4" in diameter

Condition: Very good vintage condition. This set has been in a display cabinet for decades. There is some extremely minor gold loss (very minor) due purely from time. Overall, this set is in very good vintage condition.
