A set of 6 Trader Vic "Big Shot" glasses by Imperial Glass Co (4 Green and 2 Ruby Red). These Mid Century glasses were by Imperial Glass Company for Trader Vic's. Morgantown Glass Company was occasionally contracted by Imperial Glass to produce these if their production line was at capacity. Each glass/tumbler has "BIG SHOT" embossed on the bottom and looks like a bullet casing. These tumblers were used in Trader Vic for serving a cocktail called Gun Club Punch. The green colored glass was meant to match Winchester ammunition and the red glass to match Remington shells. Truly a stunning and rare set.

The Imperial Glass Company was founded in 1901 by Edward Muhleman, with production beginning in 1904. Their handmade glasswares were sold worldwide and were typically made of pressed glass patterns. Their "Shoji" line, which was manufactured from 1965 to 1974, gilded with real 22k gold and is the quintessential style of the Hollywood Regency Era.

Maker/year: Imperial Glass Company, Production Date: 1950 - 1970

Hallmarks: Each is marked on the bottom with "Big Shot Super XXX"

Measurements: Just shy of 5 3/4" tall x 2 3/4" in diameter

Condition: Great vintage condition. According to the original owner, these glasses were packed away for years and not used. The gold is vibrant. The glasses are in great condition. There's minimal (and we mean minimal) age that comes purely from time. Overall, these glasses are in great vintage condition.

Again, please note: Mid Century glassware often has imperfections (i.e. tiny bubbles in the glass, or a "seam" from when the glass was being created, an extra spot of gold or enamel that made it on a clear part of the glass, etc -- purely the nature of vintage glassware). These glasses are no exception. Cheers!

**On shipping: We take our packaging very seriously and carefully wrap all pieces to ensure safe delivery. Please note: we are not making a penny. We pack our glassware wear to ensure safe arrival and these glasses will be double-boxed, which means a larger, heavier box!

****Important to note pre-purchase: Buyers, please examine all photos carefully as we cannot accept returns due to the fragile nature (the possibility of breakage or damage when being shipped back) of our vintage/antique pieces. Our items are true vintage pieces that might have manufacturers flaws, flaws from age, or imperfections in general from being vintage. We try to explain the condition/description in an accurate and thorough manner but we ask that you please examine all photos carefully and ask all questions before purchasing an item as we are unable to accept returns due to the risk of breakage/damage.
