A stunning sterling silver 13" (13 1/2") cocktail/mixing spoon by John Hasselbring, 1920s. This spoon is nothing short of magical and features a sterling stem and a long stemmed handle with a sterling silver round medallion. This spoon is in excellent condition, considering its age. Truly a magical and rare piece.

We have other John Hasselbring barware listed, including a similar spoon that's in a different vintage condition. See other listings.

Maker: John Hasselbring, early 1920s

Hallmarks: "JH" and "sterling" and "40" can be found on the upper part of the handle (see photos for reference, please excuse the wood ceiling beams in the reflection) and the word "sterling" can also be found on the handle's silver medallion.

Measurements: Approx. 13" in length (13 1/2")

Condition: Very, very, very good vintage condition. This spoon is in remarkable condition for its age. It's as close to NOS (new old stock or an item that hasn't been used) as you can get. The sterling silver is vibrant. Any "dark areas" you see in the photos are from the dark wood beams in our ceiling being reflected in the photo. The handle is in great condition. Here are any "flaws" we see:

1) The silver medallion on the end has a few "rough areas" (see photo) -- they don't appear to be a dings but a manufacturing occurrences (this piece hand forged)
2) There's a small and shallow "ding" (1/16" in size) on the bottom of the spoon that was impossible to capture in a photo

Overall, this antique spoon is in very, very good vintage condition for approx. 100 years old and displays beautifully. Truly a gorgeous antique mixing spoon.
