A stunning set of 8 Calypso glasses by Libbey. This pattern is called "Caribbean Cruise" (they also made another similar Calypso pattern that came orange and gold). Truly a magical set that features Tropical dancers (a female and two male) in Turquoise and gold accents against a frosted "grid" background and subtle gold rims. These glasses are nothing short of spectacular and have a magic feel to them.
A quick summary about this glassware maker: The Libbey Glass Company has been manufacturing glassware since the 20th Century and is still producing high quality glassware today. Certain vintage Libbey glassware pieces (but not all of them, depending on the size and type of piece) is signed with a cursive “L” within a circle or ring. The mark actually appears backwards if viewed from outside of the glass, but it appears correctly when looking down through the inside. Some of their most popular patterns include this Calypso pattern and the Libbey Kit Kat Cool Cat pattern.

Measurements: 5 1/2" tall x 2 3/4" in diameter
Hallmarks: each glass features a backward "L" in cursive (that faces the right way when you're looking down into the glass).
Condition: Very, very good vintage condition. These glasses have been in a display cabinet for decades. They have some minimal wear (and we mean minimal) that comes from age and not use. All glasses have their gold rims but a few have worn away ever so slightly (very very slightly). In short, these glasses are in very good condition and display beautifully.
