A stunning set of 7 Calypso small rocks glasses by Libbey (they also made another similar Calypso pattern that came Turquoise and gold). Truly a magical pattern that features Tropical dancers. There are the scenes on each glass that include a female dancer, a male dancer, palm trees, and fish with gold accents against a frosted "grid" background and subtle gold rims. These glasses are nothing short of spectacular and have a magic feel to them.

A quick summary about this glassware maker: The Libbey Glass Company has been manufacturing glassware since the 20th Century and is still producing high quality glassware today. Certain vintage Libbey glassware pieces (but not all of them, depending on the size and type of piece) is signed with a cursive “L” within a circle or ring. The mark actually appears backwards if viewed from outside of the glass, but it appears correctly when looking down through the inside. Some of their most popular patterns include this Calypso pattern, some of their Atomic patterns, and the Libbey Kit Kat Cool Cat pattern.

Maker/era: Libbey, 1959

Measurements: 3" tall x 2 1/2" in diameter -- please NOTE: these glasses are smaller in size and are referred to as a double shot glass or a small rocks glass, they are not a full-sized rocks glass.

Hallmarks: each glass features a backward "L" in cursive (that faces the right way when you're looking down into the glass).

Condition: Great vintage condition. These glasses have been in a display cabinet for decades. All glasses have their gold rims. In short, these glasses are in great vintage condition and display beautifully.

**On shipping: We take our packaging very seriously and carefully wrap all pieces to ensure safe delivery. We pack our glassware well, which means a larger, heavier box.
