A fun set of 8 Mid Century Libbey "Pilot" rocks glasses. These glasses are "numbered" so each person doesn't lose track of their drink! They feature a vibrant gold number and gold scroll design with a deep blue enamel. Truly a magical set.

Maker/era: Libbey, Mid Century

A quick summary about this glassware maker: The Libbey Glass Company has been manufacturing glassware since the 20th Century and is still producing high quality glassware today. Certain vintage Libbey glassware pieces (but not all of them, depending on the size and type of piece) is signed with a cursive “L” within a circle or ring. The mark actually appears backwards if viewed from outside of the glass, but it appears correctly when looking down through the inside.

Hallmarks: each glass has a backward embossed cursive "L" (that faces the correct way when looking down into the glass).

Condition: Good vintage condition with mild signs of age and wear. We like to be thorough when it comes to our vintage sets, so here's a full summary:

1) The number #1 glass has a small amount of gold loss/fading on the trim around the number and also two discolored spots on the blue which we believe are two extra spots of gold that got trapped under the blue enamel (see photo #1 and #7)
2) These glasses originally came with a very thin, subtle gold rim (right on the very top rim) and some have faded
3) The #3 glass has a manufacturing flaw on the rim that appears to be an extra "bump" of glass (not uncommon with Mid Century glassware)

The glass clarity is perfectly clear, no cloudiness. The gold is vibrant as is the blue enamel. In short, these glasses are in good vintage condition overall but do show mild signs of age and wear (listed above). Cheers!

Measurements: Each glass measures 3 1/4" tall x 3 1/4" in diameter

Our items are true vintage pieces that might have manufacturers flaws, flaws from age, or imperfections in general from being vintage. We try to explain the condition/description in an accurate and thorough manner but we ask that you please examine all photos carefully and ask all questions before purchasing an item as we are unable to accept returns due to the risk of breakage/damage.
