A magical set of 6 "TWA Destination" glasses by Libbey, 1960s. These glasses features various destinations that airlines TWA went and feature a black enameled front (with each destination) and the back of the glasses feature atomic style stars and airplanes. This set includes: England, Greece, France, New York, California, and Portugal. Each glass also depicts what that location is known for (i.e. a tall Greek coliseum buildings for Greece). Truly a stunning set.

Maker/Pattern/Era: Libbey, "TWA Destinations", Mid Century
Hallmarks: All but one of the glasses has the embossed "L" (not uncommon if the embossed hallmark didn't get deeply embossed during manufacturing).
A quick summary about this glassware maker: The Libbey Glass Company has been manufacturing glassware since the 20th Century and is still producing high quality glassware today. Certain vintage Libbey glassware pieces (but not all of them, depending on the size and type of piece) is signed with a cursive “L” within a circle or ring. The mark actually appears backwards if viewed from outside of the glass, but it appears correctly when looking down through the inside.
Measurements: 5 1/2" tall x 2 3/4" in diameter
Condition: Very good vintage condition with mild signs of age. The glass clarity is perfectly clear (no cloudiness). If these glasses were ever used, it wasn't much. The graphics are vibrant and in great shape overall. Zero chips or nicks. In short, these glasses are in very good vintage condition and display beautifully.
