A lovely set of 6 Mid Century "Gold Fish" glasses/tumblers by Libbey. Such a fun, whimsical set that features gold rims and a gold and white pattern of fish. There are two large gold fish (that have slightly different shaped fins, see last photo that shows the two different shaped fish) on the front and back of the glass, along with various smaller fish and white seahorses on two sides. There's a gold accent at the top and bottom that mimic ocean "waves". Truly a lovely and magical set.
A bit about this pattern/maker: The Libbey Glass Company has been manufacturing glassware since the 20th Century and is still producing high quality glassware today. Certain vintage Libbey glassware pieces (but not all of them, depending on the size and type of piece) is signed with a cursive “L” within a circle or ring. The mark actually appears backwards if viewed from outside of the glass, but it appears correctly when looking down through the inside.
Maker/era: Libbey, Mid Century
Hallmarks: There's a backward "L" on the bottom of each glass (when you're looking down inside the glass the "L" is facing the correct way) -- although most of them are faint or can't be seen (not uncommon as many Mid Century glassware hallmarks didn't get as heavily embossed).
Measurements: A tad shy of 5 1/2" tall x 2 3/4" in diameter
Condition: Good vintage condition with minor signs of age. Overall, these glasses are in very good condition. All have their gold rims. There's some very minor/general "age" to a few of the areas of gold but overall these glasses are in good vintage condition. Truly a lovely, whimiscal set.
