Get your motor running, glassware enthusiasts! A magical set of four (4) "Phillips 66 Trop Artic Motor Oil" glasses made by Libbey. These glasses were made for Phillips 66 and mimic a "motor oil can" on the front and back in a stark white, red, black, and vibrant gold enameled pattern (see photos #4 amd #10 for the pattern on the front and the pattern on the back). Heavier in weight, these glasses have a solid feel to them. They display beautifully.

Hallmarks: Each glass has an embossed "L" on the bottom

A quick summary about this glassware maker: The Libbey Glass Company has been manufacturing glassware since the 20th Century and is still producing high quality glassware today. Certain vintage Libbey glassware pieces (but not all of them, depending on the size and type of piece) is signed with a cursive “L” within a circle or ring. The mark actually appears backwards if viewed from outside of the glass, but it appears correctly when looking down through the inside.

Measurements: 3 3/4" tall x 3" diameter

Condition: Very good vintage condition with very minor signs of age. The enamel is in great shape overall and the gold is vibrant. Great glass clarity, no cloudiness. We see one "flaw" to the enamel on one glass that look like two tiny "scrapes" (perhaps a manufacturing occurrence). See photo #5, the left hand side of the white enamel at the very top of the glass/pattern. In short, these Mid Century glasses are in very, very good vintage condition. Truly a magical set.

**On shipping: We take our packaging very seriously and carefully wrap all pieces to ensure safe delivery. If purchasing multiple pieces, we'll combine shipping to a single box (or as few boxes as possible) and will automatically reimburse you for all shipping overages paid.

****Important to note pre-purchase: Buyers, please examine all photos carefully as we cannot accept returns due to the fragile nature (the possibility of breakage when being shipped back) of our vintage/antique pieces. Our items are true vintage pieces that might have manufacturers flaws, flaws from age, or imperfections in general from being vintage. We try to explain the condition/description in an accurate and thorough manner but we ask that you please examine all photos carefully and ask all questions before purchasing an item as we are unable to accept returns due to the risk of breakage. Cheers!
