A lovely antique Napier "Mechanical" Jigger Bar Spoon. This jigger/spoon is silver-plated and features a "stepped" or graduated design with 1/2 oz, 1 oz, 1 1 1/2 oz, and 2 oz etched into the jigger. One of Napier's tougher-to find" pieces, here's how the "mechanical" part works: when you press down on the jigger, it allows the liquid to escape down the spoon into your cocktail. Then with the spoon end, you can stir the contents of your drink. Truly a gorgeous and rare piece.
Measurements: Approx 9 1/4" tall Maker/year: Napier, circa 1930s
Hallmarks: "Napier Pat. Pend" can be found in tiny letters on the back of the spoon. Condition: Very good condition with signs of age and wear including patina. No bends, the spoon is perfectly straight. The jigger is also straight and whole (no dents or dings) and works perfectly. The silver-plating is in good condition overall but does show signs of "age" as well as some patina. The interior of the jigger has some subtle "spotchiness" to the silver-plating. Overall, this jigger spoon is in good vintage condition with signs of age and displays beautifully. Cheers!
