A stunning set of 6 "Poison" glasses and their original 6 glass stirrers by Cera, also signed "Neiman Marcus". Mid Century. These glasses were sold exclusively at Neiman Marcus during the Mid Century. Such a magical pattern with a gorgeous 22k Gold, Navy Blue, and Ivory pattern of various poisons including: 1 Strychnine, 1 Hemlock, 1 Curare, 1 Belladonna, 1 Cyanide, and 1 Arsenic. These glasses are larger in size for rocks glasses and have a flared upper and lower design (tapering in the middle slightly). Extremely heavy in weight, these glasses are solid and well-crafted. In addition to the various poisons, each glass has "ounces" on one side and ML (milliliter) on the other. Cera also made these in a non-tapered, slightly smaller rocks glass. This pattern also came in different color combinations including a Brown and Gold. Truly a magical set.

This set comes with: 6 glasses and 6 glass stirrers

Please also note: these glasses came in two different shapes: this larger tapered middle shape and a smaller, non-tapered old-fashioned shape. If try to match an existing set, be sure this shape/set is the one you desire. Cheers!

A quick summary about this glassware maker: similar to Culver, Cera used real 22k gold in many of their glassware patterns and were known for creating some of the most popular Mid Century glassware designs. Cera remains one of the most popular vintage brands for MCM glassware excellence and their Poison glassware remains one of their most popular patterns today.

Maker/era: Cera , Mid Century

This set includes: 6 glasses and 6 stirrers

Hallmarks: All glasses are signed "Cera" and "Neiman Marcus" in navy blue font

Measurements: Each glass measures 4" tall x a tad over 3 3/4" in diameter; the glass stirrers/wands measure 6" in length

Condition: Very good vintage condition. These glasses appear to have not seen any use. All glasses have perfect clarity, no cloudiness. There's some age that comes purely from time. Here's a full summary:

1) The Hemlock glass has minor wear to the upper gold band/accent
2) The Strychnine glass has minor gold loss on the front gold accent around the Strychnine label and on the back Gold band
3) The numbers (ML and ounces) of the back of the Strychnine aren't as heavy in gold as the other glasses (ever so slightly more faint)

In short, this vintage set is in good vintage condition with mild age. Truly a magical set of glasses.

Please note: Mid Century glassware often has imperfections (i.e. tiny bubbles in the glass, or a "seam" from when the glass was being created, an extra spot of gold or enamel that made it on a clear part of the glass, etc -- purely the nature of vintage glassware).

**On shipping: We take our packaging very seriously and carefully wrap all pieces to ensure safe delivery. These glasses will be packed extremely well and also double-boxed, which means a larger, heavier box.

****Important to note pre-purchase: Buyers, please examine all photos carefully as we cannot accept returns due to the fragile nature (the possibility of breakage when being shipped back) of our vintage/antique pieces. Our items are true vintage pieces that might have manufacturers flaws, flaws from age, or imperfections in general from being vintage. We try to explain the condition/description in an accurate and thorough manner but we ask that you please examine all photos carefully and ask all questions before purchasing an item as we are unable to accept returns due to the risk of breakage.
